AutoPlaybook is an independent resource for Shopify store owners and ecommerce operators who want clear, direct guidance on which SaaS tools are worth their money — and which aren't.

What We Do

We research, test, and compare the tools that power ecommerce operations: customer support helpdesks, email marketing platforms, ad creative tools, analytics software, automation platforms, and more.

Our reviews cover the specifics that matter to operators: actual pricing at your list size, what breaks at scale, whether the Shopify integration actually works, and which tier you need to buy before the useful features unlock.

We don't do vague pros/cons lists. We give you a verdict: who should use this tool, who should skip it, and what they should use instead.

How We Review Tools

We test the tools ourselves

We don't publish reviews based on product documentation or marketing copy. We connect tools to Shopify stores, run actual workflows, and evaluate real performance. If we can't test something directly, we say so.

We don't take sponsored content

No company can pay us to write a positive review, include them in a ranking, or avoid criticism of their product. Our rankings reflect our independent assessment — not which vendor paid the most.

We disclose affiliate relationships

Many of the links on this site are affiliate links. When you click a link and purchase a tool, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This doesn't influence our rankings or reviews. Tools we don't recommend don't appear in our "best" lists regardless of commission rate.

We update when things change

SaaS tools change their pricing, features, and quality. We review and update our content when significant changes occur — every review includes a "last updated" date so you know how current the information is.

Who We Write For

Our content is written for ecommerce operators at every stage — from stores just launching to brands doing $10M+/year. We try to be specific about which advice applies to which store size, because the right tool for a $10k/mo store is often the wrong tool for a $1M/mo store.

Early stage

Just launched, under $10k/mo. Finding the right baseline tools without overspending.
